Certification and Official Hallmarks

All products from Atelier Lohe Lda are made with precious metals, strictly comply with established quality criteria, are certified, and hallmarked by INCM – Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda, S.A.

If in doubt about the authenticity of the hallmarks, please refer to the Assay Offices for verification.

Certification by the INCM Assay Office

Certification is provided by the INCM Assay Office, which verifies:

  • The legal fineness – the amount of precious metal per thousand parts contained in an alloy
  • The application of the hallmark/punch – official mark that accompanies the manufacturer's responsibility mark or equivalent. You can check the table with legal punch designs here.

Mandatory Hallmarking

The application of hallmarks is only mandatory for:

  • Silver pieces weighing more than 2 grams
  • Gold pieces weighing more than 0.5 grams


Consultation and Verification

It is possible to consult the official table with legal punch designs and follow the daily gold and silver quotations provided by the institution.

In case of doubt, all consumers can verify the authenticity of each hallmark at the INCM.
